Pool Area Security

We now have installed the security cameras in our swimming pool complex as requested by the property owners during the 2007 Annual Meeting.

There are three cameras which have been installed on the roof soffit surrounding the shower/dressing room building and one camera inside the equipment room. The cameras will be aimed to provide security coverage at the pool entrance gate, the covered cabana area and the pool waterfall.

There will be no cameras covering the dressing rooms, kiddie pool or the main pool.

The recorder will be locked in a steel box and access to the recorder will be limited to only one POA board member. The only instance in which the recorded images will be reviewed will be in the event of vandalism or other criminal act.

These measures will hopefully curtail the incidents of property damage we experienced in 2006 and 2007.

TCEQ Public Drinking Water Recognition Program

The Texas Commission On Environmental Quality has selected the Lost Springs Water Supply Corporation as an award winner for accomplishments made in The Total Coliform Rule in 2006. This basically means our system has been recognized for superior control of the coliform count in our water system.

Congratulations to Randy Gonzalez for his efforts and dedication in keeping our system "up and running" and in ensuring the purity of our water.

Swimming Pool

For the safety of all property owners and guests, please refrain from bringing glass containers into the pool/pavilion area per the posted pool rules and state regulations. We risk being fined and/or having further action taken by the state if an injury occurs or if glass is found within the fenced area during an inspection.

Annual Property Owner Association and LSR Water Supply Meeting
April 24th, 2010

The LSR Swimming Pool area was the scene of the 2010 annual LSR POA and Water Supply Corp. meeting.  This year we were blessed with great weather.

The meeting was highlighted by a presentation on forming a neighborhood watch program. Deputy Laurie Bain of the Hays County Sheriff’s Department explained the advantages of the program and the steps needed to start a neighborhood watch.  Among the advantages  noted by Deputy Bain were getting to know your neighbors better  and creating the ability to watch out for suspicious activities in our subdivision.  The owners in attendance were enthusiastic about starting a program. With Deputy Bain’s assistance, we will be taking the necessary steps to get started with the LSR Neighborhood Watch by asking for volunteers to serve as section leaders, etc.  Watch for progress reports which will be coming soon.

Lost Springs Ranch News – April 1, 2010

The swimming pool will reopen for the 2010 season on April 2, 2010.

The annual meetings of the property owners and water system owners will be Saturday April 24, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the pavilion next to the swimming pool. In addition to our regular business, Deputy Laurie Bain will talk to us about crime prevention and organizing a Neighborhood Watch Program for the subdivision.

Patching and repairing our streets will start soon, hopefully within the next 10 days. Please keep an eye out for these repairs. We will be going around and marking the places to be repaired. If there is one near your property that doesn’t get marked, please let us know.
